The Truetrac operates as a standard (open) differentialunder normal driving conditions, allowing for unobtrusiveoperation. When a wheel encounters a loss of traction orthe terrain changes, the helical-shaped gears mesh withincreasing force, transferring torque to the high tractionwheel until wheel spin is slowed or completely stopped.When the vehicle exits the low traction situation, thedifferential seamlessly resumes normal operation.
