Awesome sound without drone and not to loud but deep and throaty. Fairy easy to install on a 5 year old New England truck. Great fit and quality product.

I would’ve given it 5 stars but the instructions for install are not detailed enough and only provide one photo showing orientation. Kind of nitpicking on that but it would save those who don’t do research before buying. My install went smooth and the muffler performs better than expected. Sound is a deeper smooth tone at low to moderate rpms and not at all overly loud on WOT. The part arrived quickly and in good condition and shipping free.

5 of 5 Replaced a Flowmaster HD50, Much better! September 28, 2020
Reviewer: Brad from SC - United States
I had the FM American Thunder on my truck, but it was just too obnoxious in town around 1600-2100 rpms.  I do have the 5" tips, so it's a deep tone even at idle.  Now, it sounds and responds so much better at all rpm's.

Moe's had this to me within 4 days of ordering! Packaged well and arrived with no damage.

Installation went well, even though I had copper Permatexed the previous exhaust on.  Did the same to this one and once again, no leaks!  Trick is to grind off alignment tabs on existing pipes, cut another slot on 3" inlet pipe (new mufflex muffler) then place a nice bead on ALL slip joints and secure them with clamps to allow slight movement. Adjust everything quickly, try not to put clamp bolt over pipe slots and then tighten clamps firmly, so nothing moves.  Wait an hour and tighten band clamps to 40 ft. lbs.. The hard part: let it sit 24 hours if you can stand it, before firing it up and then re-torque clamps after 100 miles or so.

5 of 5 Awesome sound October 17, 2019

This muffler gives me the sound I was looking for. Nice mellow rumble at idle. Great sound when you get on it. Minimal resonance around town. No resonance on the highway.

5 of 5 Awesome kit April 26, 2019
Reviewer: Jim from Alberta, Canada
Really well put together kit. The 24" sounds perfect in my opinion. No drone at all, nice and quiet while cruising, loud enough when you hammer on it. Best of both worlds really. Sounds great with a nice low rumble. Super easy to install.
For other reviewers: I'd suggest cutting a couple notches to the pipes before you clamp them down. This lets the pipe compress a bit more and gets a good seal.
Moe's Performance customer service was top notch and shipped very quickly after I ordered. All around very satisfied with my purchase

5 of 5 Excellent muffler February 9, 2019
Reviewer: Travis P from Enterprise , AL United States
The muffler looks and sounds great. Weighs a lot less than the big ol stocker.  When you start your truck, you can hear a slight increase in exhaust tone. More when you give it gas and a little more at WOT. But nothing loud or wake the neighbors up. Quality is great and install probably took 20 mins. I presoaked the bolts the night prior.  Def recommend if you are looking for a mild sound but with performance.

5 of 5 2017 Ram 1500 Laramie 4x4 September 3, 2018
Reviewer: Jacob Taylor from Forney, TX United States
I ordered the part and received it quick. It took about an hour to install it. The only thing that was difficult was lining the pipes up to the back side of the muffler and getting them back into the new muffler. I have read that these mufflers tend to have exhaust leaks around the clamps, so after I installed it I noticed there ere two tiny leaks out the backside of the muffler once the clamps were tight, so I had some red RTV high temp sealant and I put some around the ends and it is fine now and sounding great. It has a great mellow tone and once it gets broken in it sounds even better. I am very pleased with this product and with Moe’s Performance. Thanks!

2 of 5 All drone no bite July 6, 2018
Reviewer: Moises Padron from Brownwood, TX United States
Two thumbs up to Moes for fast service!

Installed onto 2017 crew cab 4x4 8spd with 3.21 axle ratio.  Purchased the quiestest muffler trying to Minimize the drone inside the cab since most of the miles are driven on the highway. First impression; (The good) idle is deep and louder than stock, sounds good while driving in the city not too loud but noticeable, the engine winds up faster : (The bad) WOT is quieter than stock I can hear the engine in front more than the exhaust, drone at 1600-1800 rpm which is at 75-85 mph on 8th gear.
After 500 miles on muffler; getting a little louder at WOT but drone is still there. To avoid drone, I drive at 70mph on 8th gear or shift to 7th when going over 75mph. (Speed limits are 75mph here in Texas).

Disappointed since now I’m looking into the mufflex drone suppression pipe which I didn’t plan on having to get, which is another $170.
